History
Partido político español de ideología marxista-leninista fundado durante un congreso que tuvo lugar el 13 y 15 de enero de 1984 por diversas organizaciones escindidas del Partido Comunista de España (PCE), tras el fracaso en las elecciones generales de 1982. En 1986 tomó parte en la fundación de Izquierda Unida (IU). En el año 2000, en el Congreso de Unificación de los Comunistas, se integró el Partido Comunista Obrero Español (PCOE) en el PCPE.
